Dear Old Navy, if you’re going to make it so as a plus-size girl, I can only shop online - at the very least you could offer me free shipping. Ground shipping even. Let’s be real - if I’m going to take a gamble and buy clothes that I can not touch or see in person because I’m not in demand enough to be in your stores, what’s in it for me? Oh, right - nothing. Which is why I’ve yet to take the plunge and actually buy anything. That, and I think not allowing a consumer to shop and experience the tactile joy of shopping is kind of a douchebag move. Do better Old Navy, I know you can!
So, my alarm clock has been going off for the last 7 minutes and my husband is pretending not to hear it even though I’m a room away and it sounds like it’s right next to me. I’m not getting up on general principle - he knows how to turn it off. Today, we’re going to take a short road trip to visit some friends but I didn’t forget how much you people love music, so here is some to get you through the day. I had a totally different set of songs already picked out, but I thought since we’re just days past the official start of summer - I’d share some of my very favorite summer songs. Deee-Lite: Picnic In The Summertime - I will NEVER get tired of this song and this album (Dewdrops In The Garden). Dance music is supposed to be this good.
Dj Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince: Summertime - THE summer song. It belongs on every mix that anyone ever makes that involves summer and a party.
Onda Ft. Esthero: Summer Breeze - This is an Isley Brothers song (from a compilation) and it’s a fresh take on that. I threw it in because I love it and I can do that.
Sophie Ellis Bextor: Music Gets The Best Of Me - Can’t help myself, I love this song. And if you’re here downloading music, you probably feel the same way about music.
Telepopmusik: Breathe - This is one of my very favorite songs of all time. Depending on when you ask me, I might even say it’s my favorite. Everything about it makes me feel alive inside and that’s such a good feeling.
